6 Benefits of Vitamin C

World Health Organization (WHO) for example, specify only 45 mg a day, the Food Standards Agency in the UK by 40 mg per day, and the National Academy of Sciences in the United States between 60-95 mg per day. In the U.S., the maximum amount of intake in laboratory conditions is 2,000 milligrams per day.
