How Children Learn Kinesthetic


A child who include kinesthetic learners often misinterpreted as ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder). Children with type kinesthetic learners easily stressed when they were just told to sit quietly, reading and listening in a classroom environment. And to relieve stress they experienced, they may perform some actions such as repeated backward, or sharpening their pencils in the classroom. While in their seats, they began stretching their legs, rocking or leaning in their seats. When this behavior is unacceptable teacher or caregiver, they are often confused with attention disorders.

It is important for us to identify common characteristics of kinesthetic learners and find a method of teaching according to learning styles of children. In some cases, all children are kinesthetic learners / physical as well. They want to touch and immerse themselves in learning activities with the concepts and new ideas. Some children may adopt other learning styles over time, but the kinesthetic learner maintain a strong learning style. They need to be involved in learning the best.

Basically, the child with the type of kinesthetic learners have the following characteristics:
- Like to touch, feel and hold something
- Short attention span
- Prefers activities that keep him moving and working
- Prefer to demonstrate than explain something
- They can learn something with better hands, likes to try everything yourself.

Making the children sit in a classroom environment learning will be very challenging. Although children may tend not dominant kinesthetic, but we will see that explore the environment outside the room and doing craft activities is the best learning tool for children. Similar activities for kinesthetic learners helps because it makes them move and the children were able to touch and feel something when they learn.

The children love going to the beach for sand play, it makes can touch and feel directly the things he liked. You can build sand castles, and at the same time yag you can teach him to write in the sand. Selecting a few shells; observe the shape and color of shells.
